Launched in August 2018, the new BlackBerry Evolve had some high expectations due to the expensive nature of the phone. The box itself comes with one handset, earphones, data cable, travel adapter, safety manual, quick start guide and sim ejector tool.
The handset itself weighs 168 g with 8.4 mm thickness and is protected by Corning gorilla glass 5. With a 5.99 inch screen with a resolution of 1080 × 2160 pixels, the handset packs with a 4000 mAh battery which supports fast charging. It provides 4 GB RAM and 64 GB internal storage with an expandable storage using Micro SD slot. It has a 13 Mp primary camera and 13 Mp secondary camera on the rear. The front camera has 16 Mp for selfies. Active noise cancellation is provided with a dedicated mic. The device also provides face unlock, fingerprint sensor, proximity sensor etc. It supports wireless communication such as Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, Hotspot and so on. It also supports 2G, 3G, and 4G.
It has the Octa core processor and Adreno 506 GPU so performance is average. It has the old Bluetooth version of 4.2 instead of the new 5.0 version. The operating system is Android 8.2 Oreo.
For a phone that’s this costly, it certainly is not the best choice. Almost every device with a lesser price range has these specifications and so, it’s clearly too expensive for these features.
